Description

Probably 1821. Single storey, shallow cruciform plan gate

lodge; harled, ashlar margins. Canted bay to east gable

(facing drive and entrance) with wide ashlar margins and

window in each face. Shallow projecting off-centre bay in

south elevation with further shallow projection containing

bipartite; 2 bipartites to west. (All bipartites appear to be

later enlargements). Re-entrant entrance in rear covered by

modern canopy; weather-boarded extension to NW: mainly

4-pane glazing; ridge stacks; shallow piended slate roof.
