3A And 3B North Main Street, Wigtown

3A and 3B North Main Street in Wigtown is an earlier 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay house that has undergone later alterations and is now subdivided. The building is constructed of rubble whinstone with red sandstone ashlar dressings, including lintels, eaves courses, and quoins. The door has been moved from its original central left position, which has been blocked with whinstone; it features a letterbox fanlight. There are windows in the bays from the ground floor and in each bay on the first floor, with plate glass patterns in the sash and case windows. The roof is covered with purple slates, and there are ashlar coped skews. The stack on the left has been removed, while the mutual stack on the right remains. There have been regrettable alterations to the rear elevation.
