7 North Main Street, Wigtown

7 North Main Street in Wigtown is an early 19th-century, two-storey terraced building that features a near-symmetrical design with a pend at the center. The building is constructed of whinstone rubble with squared granite dressings for No 7, while No 5 is finished in red sandstone ashlar with a base course. The pend is flanked by doorways that have letterbox fanlights above modern doors, with two steps leading to each door. The outer bays contain windows, with No 7 featuring two first-floor windows and No 5 having one. Both buildings have plate glass glazing patterns in their sash and case windows. The roof of No 7 is covered with slates, while No 5 has rubberoid roofing material. There are end stacks on both buildings, and single-storey additions at the rear, with No 5 having a slated roof and No 7 featuring a flat roof.
