Description
13-15 George Street in Whithorn is an early 19th-century, two-storey, four-bay house that includes a shop on the ground floor. The building is constructed of rubble with polished raised red painted sandstone margins around the openings and features banded angles.
The shop front has a large plate glass window with a door to the right. To the left of the off-centre house door, which has a fanlight above it, there is a single window. On the first floor, there are four single light windows, all of which are sash and case with lying-pane 10-pane glazing.
The building has a raised base course, a band course above the ground floor, and an eaves course. The left side features coped skews with a skew block, and there are tall corniced end stacks. The roof is covered with good graded slate.
