Description
7 and 9 George Street in Whithorn is an early 19th-century, two-storey, four-bay house. The building is constructed of rubble and features painted rusticated quoins, margined openings, and a band course above the ground floor. The central entrance has a recessed door with good double-leaf panelled doors and a fanlight above. To the left, there is a shop front with a large plate glass window flanking the door, while to the right is a single window. On the first floor, there are four single light windows, all sash and case, with 10-pane glazing. The building has an eaves cornice, end skews with skew blocks, tall corniced end stacks, and slate roofs.
