Description
118 George Street in Whithorn is an early 19th-century, two-storey, four-bay house that includes a shop on the ground floor. The building is constructed of painted rubble with raised painted margins and angles. On the right side, there is a pilastered shop front, which is flanked by two doorways: one on the right leading to a pend and one on the left leading to the dwelling. All the windows are single light, sash and case style with plate glass glazing. The house features a raised eaves bank, end skews, and coped end stacks with thackstanes. The ridge is made of sandstone, and the roofs are covered with slate.
