The Black Bull Hotel, located on Churchgate in Moffat, likely dates from the 18th century and stands on the site of an earlier inn. The building has undergone significant alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. It features two storeys and an attic, with an asymmetrical six-bay front and an extensive 19th-century rear wing.
