Description
The Coachman, located at 4 High Street in Moffat, is an earlier 19th-century building that was altered around 1900 to resemble the Buccleuch Arms. It features a symmetrical two-storey front with three bays. The exterior is made of painted rubble with long and short quoins. There is a central entrance that has a consoled cornice, and above it is a large tripartite window. The other windows are bipartite, corniced at the ground level, and have gablets on the first floor, decorated similarly to those at the Buccleuch Arms. The building has a gabled slated roof with end stacks.
