Description
Cairnmill is an earlier 19th century, two-storey, three-bay house that features a rear wing. The rear wing was enlarged to the north in the later 20th century, with a neo-Georgian bow-ended extension. The exterior is finished in whitewashed harl, accented with red ashlar margins and dressings.
On the east elevation, there is a corniced central doorpiece, which appears to be from the 20th century, featuring a panelled door with a fanlight above it. The house has sash windows with 12-pane glazing. The roof has straight skews and corniced end stacks. A stair window is located in the south elevation of the two-bay rear wing, which also includes small-paned sash windows. The roof over the bow is curved, and all roofs are slated.
