5 Station Road, Dalbeattie

5 Station Road in Dalbeattie is a mid-19th century, three-bay house that is now the end house of a later terrace. The building has two storeys and a basement, constructed from coursed bull-faced granite, featuring monolith granite lintels and jambs. The front elevation is symmetrical, with a central panelled door. All windows are single light sash and case with 12-pane glazing, except for the ground floor left window, which has 4 panes. The left side of the house includes a first-floor window and an attic window, while the ground floor has a modern bipartite window inserted into a large blocked entrance. The roof is slate, with coped end stacks and thackstanes. There is also a one-storey and loft piend-roofed rubble outbuilding with altered openings.
