Description
Wigtown Lodge, located on the Galloway House Estate, is a single-storey, gabled lodge built in the mid-19th century. It features a three-bay design constructed from squared and snecked stone, accented with contrasting ashlar dressings. The door on the gabled return has been blocked and converted into a window. At the rear, there is one three-light window with a hoodmould, and a canted five-light window with a piend roof on the end gable, which includes a shield panel in the gablehead. The lodge predominantly showcases diamond-pane timber glazing in its casement windows. The roof is covered with graded slates, and there is a central stack along with overhanging eaves.
