24 Regent Street, Portobello, Edinburgh

24 Regent Street is an early 19th-century, single-storey classical terraced house with a basement, which has been subdivided into two houses. The building features ashlar stonework on the ground floor and droved ashlar on the basement. There is a band course between the basement and ground floors, along with a cornice and a blocking course. The windows are architraved.

On the principal elevation, there are five steps leading up to a pilastered and corniced raised doorpiece located at the outer left bay. This doorpiece features a deep-set modern panelled door and a plate glass rectangular fanlight above it. To the right, there is one window in the bay, and two windows are present at the basement level. There is also a door at the outer right, providing access to the basement house.

The northwest (rear) elevation has not been seen since 1994 and has extensions on both the right and left sides. The windows are plate glass timber sash and case. The roof is covered with grey slate and features rendered and coped mutual stacks.

The interior has not been seen since 1994. The boundary wall is made of rubble with coping and includes original railings, along with a harled wall that has a coping on the side.
