Woodbine Cottage, 30 York Road, Edinburgh

Woodbine Cottage is a single-storey, three-bay classical cottage built around 1820, featuring a piend roof and a later wing to the south. The cottage is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble with rusticated ashlar quoins. The front has architraved windows and a door, while the sides and rear are made of random rubble. The eaves cornice and blocking course are raised at the center.

On the west elevation, there is a timber panelled door with a decorative umbrella fanlight above it, all set within an architraved surround at the center. The flanking bays have architraved windows. The later bay to the right is built of random rubble and includes a window with an ashlar surround and a cornice.

The windows are timber sash and case with a 12-pane lying-pane glazing pattern, and the roof is covered with graded grey slates. The cottage has coped rubble wallhead stacks, possibly raised, with circular cans.

The boundary wall surrounding the property is a high coursed rubble wall topped with arched coping.
