Description

Earlier 19th century. 2-storey, attic and basement, 3-bay terraced classical house. Polished ashlar sandstone; V-jointed rustication at principal floor; broached ashlar at basement. Base course; band courses between basement and principal floor, principal and 1st floors; cill course at 1st floor; cornice and former blocking course at 1st floor; cornice and blocking course at attic. Ashlar entrance platt oversailing basement.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: 6-panel timber door with radial rectangular fanlight in bay to left at principal floor; window in remaining bays at principal floor; regular fenestration to floors above and basement, with pair of modern windows in modern attic addition. Flagged basement area.

Predominantly 12-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof. Cast-iron rainwater goods. Broached ashlar ridge stack; coped, with circular cans.

INTERIORS: not seen, 1998.

RAILINGS: ashlar copes surmounted by cast-iron railings with spear-headed and urn finials.
