Outbuildings, Cramond Brig Hotel

The outbuildings of the Cramond Brig Hotel date from the later 19th century and consist of a two-storey, two-bay former coach-house. The structure features random rubble sandstone walls with stugged and droved sandstone dressings.

On the north elevation, which is the principal side, the design is nearly symmetrical. It includes a segmental cart arch with two-leaf doors in the left bay at ground level, while the right bay has a modern sliding door. The first floor has regular window arrangements.

The east gable has rubble loft stairs with ashlar quoins and steps leading to a door that is offset to the left at the first floor.

The south elevation, which is the rear, is asymmetrical with two bays. It features a rubble-infilled window at ground level in the left bay and a window located below the eaves in the right bay.

The west gable is obscured by a modern addition. The first floor has 4-pane fixed lights set within two-light timber mullioned windows. The roof is covered with purple-grey slate and has stugged ashlar skew-copes and a stugged ashlar stack at the gable head. There are also modern roof ventilators.

Additionally, there is a random-rubble wall with a saddleback cope extending north from the east gable.
