Description
This sculptured group, created by Robert Forrest around 1836, features an equestrian depiction of James V on a rearing horse, being attacked by a pedestrian brigand. It is made from Craigleith stone and is set on a later sandstone platform. An integral tooled sandstone panel is inscribed with the words "James V attacked at Cramond Brig AD 1532".
