Description

1786-92; later alterations. 3-storey and attic, 10-bay classical tenement with shops projecting at ground. Droved cream ashlar sandstone (5 S bays cleaned). 5 S bays with modern plate glass shopfront with polished ashlar facing; incorporating modern door to common stair at left. Pair of 19th century shopfronts to N framed by panelled pilasters; that to left with arched openings, that to right modernised. Pair of canted corniced piend-roofed dormers to N;

3 varied piend-roofed dormers to S.

Timber sash and case windows; plate glass to N, 12-pane to S.

Ashlar coped skews; stone stacks, that at centre left rebuilt in glazed brick; grey slates.

INTERIOR: shops all modernised. Flats/offices above unseen 1995.
