Description
100, 102, and 104 Rose Street in Edinburgh is a two-storey and attic, four-bay tenement building that was constructed by 1780, with later alterations made at the ground level. It features a public bar located on a corner site. The exterior is made of rubble that is rendered and lined at the ground and first floors. The building has a two-bay nepus gable at its center. The public bar has a modern pilastered front at the corner, with two modern recessed doors that fill a former Venetian door opening to the right. There are decorative small cast-iron balconies on the first-floor windows, and a mansard dormer is positioned to the right of the gable. The gable end has two bays and later rendered stacks flanking the apex.
The windows are timber sash and case with plate glass. The building features ashlar coped skews and rendered stacks, topped with grey slates. The interior was not seen in 1995.
