Description

The Post Office on Main Street in Dalmeny is a small, single-storey shop built in the later 19th century. It features a two-bay design made of ashlar sandstone, with stugged chamfered dressings and an eaves course.

The northern elevation has a narrow frontage with a timber door on the right and a window on the left. An early 20th-century postbox is positioned below and slightly to the right.

The eastern and western gables are obscured by the adjoining terrace, which is listed separately. The southern elevation was not visible as of 1997.

The building includes a 12-pane timber sash and case window with lying-panes and has a graded grey slate roof with a plain skew.
