Description

Earlier 19th century. Single storey and attic, 3-bay classical cottage. Droved sandstone ashlar principal elevation, stugged sandstone to side and rear elevations; polished and droved ashlar dressings and details. Base course; cornice and blocking course at eaves. Projecting cills. Margined windows and corners.

N (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: symmetrical, margined doorway in centre bay; 4-panel timber door with fanlight; windows in flanking bays. Piend-roofed slate-hung timber dormer with multi-pane window centring principal pitch, to attic.

E GABLE: blank.

S (REAR) ELEVATION: near-symmetrical, 3 bays, margined windows to each bay with small window between bays at centre and left.

W GABLE: predominantly obscured by adjoining terrace (see separate listing).

12-pane timber sash and case windows, except multi-pane dormer casement; graded grey slate roof; cast-iron rainwater goods; coped ashlar gablehead stacks; single-flue stugged sandstone wallhead stack centring rear elevation; circular and octagonal cans.
