Description

Mid 19th century with later additions. Single storey, mirrored pair of 3-bay, L-plan cottages, making U-plan. Stugged, squared and snecked sandstone, harled at rear. Stop-chamfered arrises. Stone mullions.

N (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: widely spaced bipartite windows to centre bays, flanked by doors (flush-panelled, with 2-pane fanlight) in re-entrant angle formed with advanced outer bays, each with window (slender timber-mullioned bipartites).

E ELEVATION: chimney-gabled central bay, with window to left; extension to outer left.

S ELEVATION: harled piend-roofed projection at centre, with small windows; doors on return by re-entrant angles. Outer bay to right extended with harled gable addition; segmental-arched window. Outer bay to left with window centred in gable.

W ELEVATION: chimney-gabled central bay.

Timber sash and case windows; graded grey slate roof; stone ridge and gablehead stacks with battered coping; cast-iron rainwater goods.

Rubble garden wall to rear with semicircular coping.
