1 Easter Dalmeny Cottages, Main Street, Dalmeny

2 Easter Dalmeny Cottages is a pair of single-storey, asymmetrical vernacular cottages built in the earlier 19th century. They are constructed from random rubble with dressed stone details and are harled at the rear. The cottages feature chamfered arrises and painted cills on the principal elevation of 2 Easter Dalmeny Cottages.

The southern elevation of 1 Easter Dalmeny Cottages has seven bays, which include a modern timber door with a fanlight on the outer right and small windows evenly spaced across the six bays to the left. There is a later piended addition on the outer right, with its eastern elevation featuring a modern door to the right of centre and a window to the left of centre, adjacent to the churchyard wall at the northeast corner. The northern elevation has five bays with irregularly spaced windows, including a small opening between the second and third bays from the left. The western elevation is obscured by the adjoining terrace.

The southern elevation of 2 Easter Dalmeny Cottages has six bays, featuring a glazed vertically boarded timber door on the outer left, with windows in the bays to the right that hug the eaves. The northern elevation also has six bays with irregularly spaced windows. The western and eastern elevations are obscured by adjoining terraces.

Both cottages have timber sash and case windows, a graded grey slate roof, cast-iron rainwater goods, and coped, harled ridge stacks with circular cans and skews.
