3 Bankhead Cottages, Dalmeny

3 Bankhead Cottages in Dalmeny is a single-storey, three-bay cottage built in the mid to later 19th century, featuring an L-plan due to a wing at the rear. The exterior is constructed from stugged, squared, and snecked sandstone, with coursed rubble on the sides and chamfered arrises. There is an eaves course along the roofline.

The principal elevation faces east and has a modern timber door at the center, which is topped by a 4-pane fanlight and flanked by single windows. The south elevation is blank, and the southwest reveal was not seen in 1997. The west elevation features a single window to the right of the rear addition, with the southwest reveal also not seen in 1997. The north elevation has a single window to the left of the addition.

The cottage predominantly has timber sash and case windows, with six panes on the front. The roof is covered with graded grey slate, and there are gablehead stacks with cyma recta coping and ashlar coped skews.
