12 Main Street, Dalmeny

13 Main Street in Dalmeny is a pair of mirrored single-storey cottages built in the mid-19th century. The cottages feature stugged, squared, and snecked sandstone walls, accented with droved ashlar dressings. They have long and short quoins, projecting cills, and chamfered arrises.

On the north elevation, each cottage has a modern timber door at the center of its three bays. The door on the right includes a plate glass fanlight, while the door on the left has a 2-pane fanlight. The windows are irregularly spaced on either side of the doors.

The east gable has a timber mullioned window at the center, with a small window to the left. There is a harled single-storey extension on the outer left. The south elevation has not been seen since 1997. The west gable also features a timber mullioned window at the center, with a harled single-storey extension on the outer right.

The cottages predominantly have 10-pane lying-pane timber sash and case windows. The roof is covered with graded grey slate and features overhanging eaves with exposed rafter ends and barge boards on the gables. The property includes cast-iron rainwater goods and coped ashlar ridge stacks with circular cans.
