121 East Clyde Street, Helensburgh

This mid 19th century villa at 121 East Clyde Street in Helensburgh is a two-storey, symmetrical building with three bays and classical details. It is constructed from cream sandstone ashlar and features a base course, cornice, blocking course, architraved windows on the first floor, and pilaster quoins.

The south elevation facing Clyde Street has a distyle-in-antis recessed porch that supports a lintel with a segmental arch in shallow relief, leading to a fanlit door and a half-glazed vestibule door. Each window on either side is set in a segmental-arched recess with a moulded apron. There is a low entrance to a pend on the outer right, and three symmetrically arranged windows on the first floor.

The villa mostly has four-pane sash and case windows, a grey slate roof with corniced rendered end stacks, and two slate-hung dormers with low pitched roofs, along with a rooflight in the center.
