122 Clyde Street West, Helensburgh

This mid 19th century villa is a two-storey, three-bay rectangular building featuring classical details. It is constructed of cream rubble with ashlar stone on the south elevation and has ashlar dressings. The villa includes a base course, architraved windows on the south side, pilaster quoins, a cornice, and a blocking course.

On the south (entrance) elevation, there is a central columnar doorpiece with an entablature and a panelled fanlit door. Flanking this are corniced windows, with three symmetrically arranged windows on the first floor.

The west elevation, facing Sutherland Street, has three symmetrically arranged windows on both the ground and first floors, including a blinded window on the outer left above. There is also a gabled porch addition projecting from the outer left.

On the north (rear) elevation, there are windows on the outer right and left at the first floor, with a two-storey block in the centre and an adjoining single-storey stair block projecting to the right.

The villa features sash and case windows with a border glazing pattern on the ground floor, while the first floor has a modern window. The roof is covered with grey slate and has a bipartite slate-hung flat-roofed dormer on the north side.
