Description

Mid 19th century. Asymmetrical 2-storey, 3-bay villa with classical details. Snecked cream sandstone, squared and coursed to S elevation, painted ashlar dressings. Vermiculated base course; architraved windows with chamfered and moulded arrises; long and short quoins; overhanging eaves; bargeboarded gables. S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: advanced ashlar porch to centre with squaredcloumns on pedestals, entablature. Window above at 1st floor. Bipartite, corniced window to left at ground, basket-arched window at 1st floor with gablet breaking eaves above. Taller gable bay to outer right, canted window at ground, tripartite corniced window at 1st floor above.

W ELEVATION: gable elevation with narrow window to centre at ground, window flanking to left. Window to centre at 1st floor.

Sash and case windows with honeycomb lead-pane glazing. Grey slate roof (stacks removed).

BOUNDARY WALL AND GATEPIERS: rubble wall, ashlar coped. Square-plan gatepiers with chamfered angles, vermiculated bases, moulded caps.
