Description

This mid 19th century villa is an asymmetrical, two-storey, three-bay building featuring classical details. It is constructed from snecked cream sandstone, squared and coursed on the south elevation, with painted ashlar dressings. The villa has a vermiculated base course, architraved windows with chamfered and moulded arrises, long and short quoins, overhanging eaves, and bargeboarded gables.

On the south entrance elevation, there is an advanced ashlar porch at the center supported by squared columns on pedestals, topped with an entablature. Above the porch, there is a window on the first floor. To the left at ground level, there is a bipartite, corniced window, and a basket-arched window on the first floor with a gablet breaking the eaves above. The outer right features a taller gable bay with a canted window at ground level and a tripartite corniced window on the first floor above.

The west elevation has a gable with a narrow window at ground level in the center, flanked by another window to the left. There is also a window in the center on the first floor.

The villa features sash and case windows with honeycomb lead-pane glazing and has a grey slate roof, although the stacks have been removed.

The boundary wall is made of rubble with an ashlar coping. The square-plan gatepiers have chamfered angles, vermiculated bases, and moulded caps.
