Craigbank, 4 Glasgow Street, Helensburgh

Craigbank is a mid-19th century single-storey and attic villa located at 4 Glasgow Street in Helensburgh. The building features a three-bay design, constructed from red sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings on the west elevation, while the other elevations are harled. It has a base course, quoin strips, raised margins, and decorated timber dressings, along with overhanging bracketed eaves.

On the west elevation, which faces Glasgow Street and serves as the entrance, there is a centrally located doorway with a half-glazed door. Above the door is a decorated frieze, and a corbelled pediment with a decorated tympanum. Flanking the doorway are windows with a corbelled cornice. The outer right and left sides feature pilastered gabled windows that break the eaves, each with a bracketed cill and a decorated tympanum.

The south elevation has a window at the first floor on the outer right side. The east elevation includes a single-storey piended projection at the rear. The west elevation also features bipartite casement windows with segment-headed lights. The roof is covered with grey slate, and there is a corniced sandstone stack on the left gable.
