Description
The George Hotel, located on George Street in Dunoon, dates from around 1800 and is designed in a plain Georgian style. The building has two storeys and features a main block that is three windows wide, along with an extension that is two windows wide. The exterior is harled, with modern roughcast applied to the front. The roof is gabled and covered with slate, extending over a stair at the rear. The hotel has astragal chimneys and a wooden classical doorway adorned with pilasters and an entablature. Additionally, there is a flat-roofed addition at the back of the building.
