St John's Church, Argyll Street, Dunoon

St John's Church, located on Argyll Street in Dunoon, was built in 1876 and is designed in the Gothic Revival style. The church features a nave and aisles, with a steeple at the southeast corner and two square towers at the west end. A fleche is present on the nave roof, and there are additional structures. The exterior is constructed of rubble laid in courses, topped with slate roofs. The side elevations of the aisles include gablets. The square tower is divided into three stages and has corner turrets topped by an octagonal spire, with a pointed-arch doorway at its base. The east end has decorated windows, while the west end features lancets and a rose window. At the west end, there is a session-room annexe that has a plaque indicating the date '1876'. Inside, the church has a 'concert-hall' type layout, with cast-iron pillars, galleries, and plaster ribbed ceilings.
