Description
Kilmichael Glassary Parish Church, built in 1827 and rebuilt in 1873, is a Gothic Revival structure. It has an oblong shape with a steeple at the west end. The church is constructed of rubble and features a gabled slate roof. Notable architectural details include moulded skew-putts with trefoil ornament and lancet windows. The tower is designed in three stages, resting on a splayed base and topped with a high pyramidal late spire. It also includes string-courses and a panel containing a worn escutcheon. There is a porch on the south side with a moulded pointed arch, and a gabled addition at the east end that was repaired in 1830. The interior is plain.
