Post Office, 22 Clerk Street, Brechin

The Post Office at 22 Clerk Street in Brechin was built around 1910 by W T Oldrieve from the Office of Works. It features an English Renaissance style reminiscent of around 1700. The building is constructed of ashlar stone and has architraved openings, with a cornice at the ground floor. The front facing Clerk Street is two stories high and has six windows, while the north elevation has three windows.

On the left side of the ground floor, there is a prominent main entrance with an open-base semi-circular pediment that is bracketted and heavily decorated with dentils, along with a sculptured tympanum above it. To the right of this entrance, there is a smaller doorpiece with a keyblock, and four windows are situated between the two doorpieces. The building is topped with a piended tiled roof and features a bold mutuled cornice above a deep plain frieze.
