Description
2 Castle Street in Brechin is a building from the later 19th century, designed in a mid-Victorian free style. It features stugged snecked rubble with ashlar dressings. The structure is two stories high with a three-window front. The outer first-floor windows have gablets above the eaves. There is a central door with a fanlight, pilasters, and a pediment, along with a traceried glass inner door. This door is flanked by three-light bay windows that have crenellated parapets. The center has a single window and two bipartite first-floor windows, while the outer windows are round-headed. The gablets include panel recesses, and the building is adorned with skewputts and finials. The flanks are made of rubble, and it has a slated roof with skewputts. There is also a low coursed garden wall.
