Description

This building, located at 4, 8, and 8 Castle Street in Brechin, dates back to 1788. It features an ashlar front and is three stories tall with an attic, presenting a three-window front with margined openings. The center has a wall-head gable that includes an architraved oeil-de-boeuf window and a tall chimney stack. There is a central door that is deeply recessed and accessed by steps. The roof is slated with straight skews and a moulded eaves course. The windows have later uniform glazing with astragalled upper panes.
