Description
1, 3, 5 St Mary Street in Brechin is a building dating from the late 18th to early 19th century, which has been altered over time. It is two storeys high, with an attic at the north-east end, and is constructed of coursed rubble with polished margins.
The northern section features a boarded door, a shop window, and wide double doors with small pane glazing on the ground floor. Above, there are three windows, with a low gablet over the left window and a canted dormer over the right window. The southern section contains two shops and a central door, with the doors being deeply recessed, and five windows on the first floor. The roof is slated in the northern section and stone slated in the southern section, with straight skews.
