Description
39 Park Place in Elie is a later 19th-century, two-storey building that features a blend of cottage and Renaissance styles. The exterior is constructed with stugged coursers and polished ashlar dressings. It has a three-window front with a pilastered doorpiece, which includes a stilted keyblocked architrave at the top, a segmental pediment, and a six-panelled door. On either side of the door, there are canted three-light bays that are stop-chamfered, each topped with cornices and scalloped parapets. Above the door, there is a Venetian tripartite window with a tie-beamed gable, while the outer windows are adorned with gablets featuring finials and arch-braced barge boards. The building has an overhanging slated roof with bracketed eaves, skewed ends, and corniced stacks. The upper sashes of the windows have six-pane glazing.
