129,131 Bridge Street, Montrose

129 and 131 Bridge Street in Montrose is a house from the earlier to mid 19th century. It is two stories high with an attic and features three bays, forming an irregular terrace. The front and side are made of sandstone ashlar, while the rear is squared and snecked. There is a base course and a band course above the ground floor, along with a central wallhead gable that has a chimney.

On the principal elevation (east), there is a central doorpiece with pilasters and a cornice, a rectangular fanlight, and a four-panel door. Above the door, there is a window centered on the first floor, with the wallhead gable and chimney above. The bays on either side have timber-mullioned bipartite windows at the ground level, and the first-floor windows have canted dormers above.

The north elevation is adjacent to 125 and 127 Bridge Street. The south elevation features a two-bay gable end. The east elevation has a modern glazed projection in the center and an off-set mansard dormer to the left.

The roof is pitched with grey slate, and there are stone skews and skewputts. The south side has a replacement brick gablehead stack. Decorative rainhopper and gutter fixtures are also present.
