1 Pearse Street, Brechin

1 Pearse Street in Brechin is an early 19th-century building that has undergone later alterations. It is two stories high with an attic and features an ashlar exterior. The front has three windows with raised margins and a moulded eaves course. The central entrance has a cavetto splayed door, which is adorned with a painted architrave and cornice, and is flanked by four-light canted bay windows from the early 1900s. There are also two canted dormers on the roof.

To the east, there is a slightly recessed two-storey addition that includes a low box dormer. The building has a slated roof with straight skews that are moulded at the ends, and the flanks are constructed of rubble. At the east end, there is a piended single-storey block, along with flat-roofed single-storey rear additions.

Additionally, there is a rubble garden wall that stands about two metres high, topped with coping, and features two square gatepiers.
