East Lodge, Balruddery House

East Lodge at Balruddery House, attributed to Charles Edward and Thomas Saunders Robertson, was built around 1880 and features later additions. The building is constructed from polished sandstone coursers with ashlar dressings and has a grey slate piended roof. It has a base course and primarily features 4-pane sash and case windows, with moulded architraves, some bracketed sills, and a modillioned cornice with a blocking course. There are four wallhead stacks with base courses and moulded cornices, as well as cast-iron rainwater goods with fluted hoppers.

On the south elevation, there is an off-centre door with a fanlight and a window to the left. To the right is a recessed bay with a window, while the left features a slightly advanced bay with a canted window. There is also a flat-roofed bay with a window at the far left, which is a later addition recessed to the outer left.

The east elevation has a bay to the left with a canted window and a recessed bay to the right with a window.

The north elevation shows three windows on the original building, with additions recessed to the right.
