Description

The Ice House at Balruddery House, attributed to David Neave and dating from around 1820, is a subterranean structure that is completely hidden within a large bank, which may be artificial. It features a sunken D-plan entrance and is constructed with snecked rubble retaining walls topped with saddleback coping. There are plain iron railings surrounding the entrance. The interior has not been seen.
