Description
St Andrew's Episcopal Church Hall, located on St Andrew Street in Brechin, was built in 1853 and is attributed to Alexander Penrose Forbes. The building features a tall hall section flanked by two-storey wings, constructed from coursed and snecked rubble with ashlar dressings.
The east gable front of the hall has a large blind opening above a built-up doorway, which is adorned with a single order of shafts. The west gable includes a depressed arch window with four lights and reticulated tracery. The north wall is blind, featuring a tall central chimney shaft.
To the south, there is a two-storey section with a parallel roof on the west and a right-angled design on the east. This section includes a doorpiece with a bracketed gabled hood at the south gable on the east elevation. Additionally, there is a single-storey wing at right angles, which has three two-light windows on either side and a transverse porch on the south gable, with shouldered openings.
