Description
20 Pearse Street in Brechin is a building dating from around 1900. It is constructed from snecked rubble with rock-faced quoins at the corners and around the openings. The facade is symmetrical, featuring a central three-window bow, with flanking bays that have tripartite windows on the ground floor and bipartite windows on the first floor. To the right, there is a single-storey wing that includes a wide glazed door with sidelights and a tripartite window above. The building has a cornice and a parapet, and the roof is piended and slated with boarded eaves. There is also a piended dormer on the southeast side, along with two central chimney stacks that have cornices.
