Description
29-31 High Street in Banff is a pair of terraced houses dating from the late 17th to early 18th century. Each house is two stories high and has three bays, with a central door and first-floor windows located only in the outer bays. The exterior is finished in harled rubble, featuring roll-moulded ashlar margins around the doors and windows. The houses have timber sash and case windows with 12-pane glazing. A tall front wallhead stack is present, showcasing an original deep roll-moulded cornice and tooled ashlar detailing. The end stacks at No 31 are broad and squat, shared with No 33. The roof is slate with a stone ridge, and there is a short rear wing.
