Description

The Cottage on High Street in Banff is a former carriage house dating from the 18th to early 19th century, which was converted into a dwelling between 1969 and 1971 by architect J J Meldrum from Banff. It is a single-storey and attic, three-bay cottage that features harled walls with ashlar margins. The rear west elevation has a central door, while the east front has enlarged windows flanking a glazed garden door. The cottage includes two swept dormers and multi-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows. It also has coped end stacks and a slate roof.
