Former Episcopal Parsonage, 14 South High Street, Portsoy

The Former Episcopal Parsonage, located at 14 South High Street in Portsoy, dates from around 1830 and incorporates earlier work. It is a two-storey, L-plan house with two bays, featuring a late 18th century wing that projects towards the road. The building is constructed of rubble with painted ashlar margins and dressings. The doorway is situated in the re-entrant angle and is topped by a console-bracketed cornice, which is also present above the flanking window to the right. There are two pedimented dormers from around 1900 that break the wallhead. The left wing, likely from the late 18th century and said to have served as a former Episcopal Chapel, is a single storey with a modern swept dormer. Additionally, there is a later harled single storey lean-to at the south gable, which includes a doorway. The building features coped end masonry stacks and a slate roof.
