Description
43 South High Street in Portsoy is a mid to late 19th century, two-storey building with a narrow, symmetrical three-bay design. The front is made of squared and coursed grey granite, while the return gables and rear wing feature a mix of red and grey granite rubble, accented with tooled granite dressings. The building has a central door flanked by windows, with three regularly spaced first-floor windows above. The eaves cornice is blocked, and the first-floor windows have four-pane glazing in timber sash and case style. At the rear, there is a two-storey wing with coped end stacks and slate roofs. The ground floor is currently used as shop premises.
