Description

Later 19th century. 2-storey and attic, symmetrical 3-bay

house and shop. Rubble granite, contrasting tooled ashlar

sandstone dressings. Paired round-headed entrances under

continuous hoodmould with monogram in spandrel in slightly

advanced and pedimented centre bay. Flanking tripartites

(shop at left, No. 72). Bipartites in 1st floor outer bays;

pair canted dormers; 2-pane glazing; long-short detailing

to all window dressings. Bays delineated by giant pilasters,

rusticated at ground floor and panelled at 1st floor

terminating in panelled dies, linked across outer bays by

wallhead decorative cast-iron brattishing.

Corniced end stacks; slate roof.
