Description
36 and 38 South High Street in Portsoy is a cottage dating from around 1800. It is a single-storey building with an attic and features three bays. The exterior is harled with painted ashlar margins. The central entrance has a letterbox fanlight above it. The outer bays have late 19th-century canted wallhead dormers. The ground floor windows are fitted with 4-pane timber sash and case glazing, while the dormers have modern 2-pane timber sash and case windows. The roof has flat skews with wedge skewputts, harled end stacks, and is covered with slate, featuring a modern Velux rooflight.
