Description

Early 19th century with later additions. 2-storey and dormerless attic, 3-bay E facing house. Rubble with some painted margins.

Circa 1830 centre porch in style of William Robertson, Elgin; rubble with contrasting tooled sandstone dressings; centre panelled door with side lights; window on return elevations; shallow pitched slated roof with shaped brackets supporting eaves. Late 19th century canted window fronts right bay rising 2 storeys and breaking wallhead. Low 2-storey rear wing probably incorporating earlier work. Timber 12-pane sash and case glazing; 2- and 4-pane glazing in canted bay windows. Diminutive gable and single attic lights; moulded eaves course returns briefly to gables; masonry end stacks; flat skews; slate roof; sandstone ridge.

INTERIOR: poor condition and much altered. Only original feature of interest to survive are 6 fielded 6-panel doors.

GARDEN WALLS: high rubble walls enclose rear garden; low coped rubble front walls; pedestrian entrance flanked by low panelled gatepiers with pyramidal caps.
