Description

48 Church Street in Portsoy is a house with a core dating from the later 18th century, originally likely a single-storey, three-bay cottage. It was later raised to include a dormered attic floor and extended to the south, resulting in an irregular five-bay house. The exterior is harled, with the entrance flanked by a small window on the left and three additional windows on the right. There are three gabled dormers that break the wallheads, and the windows feature four-pane glazing in timber sash frames. The house has coped end stacks, a slate roof, and a pottery ridge.
